Alana Kushnir delivered an exclusive legal talk for members of the Art Consulting Association of Australia (ACAA) in Sydney.
Coinciding with the week of Sydney Contemporary, her talk, The Fine Print of Fine Art: Legal Duties Every Art Consultant Should Know (but Might Prefer Not To), explored the fiduciary responsibilities of art advisors, the risks inherent in commission structures and conflicts of interest, and the expanding compliance requirements tied to anti-money laundering regulations. Real-world case studies as well as practical tips for protecting one’s practice and reputation were covered.
The event was hosted at Litsa Veldekis Gallery in Woollahra, a leading contemporary art gallery and advisory service which offers a dynamic platform for both established and emerging artists.
